Former India player Sunil Gavaskar, who has been a vocal supporter of Team India, was not pleased with how the team was eliminated from the ICC T20 World Cup.

The Men in Blue couldn’t dismiss an England batter during the chase despite scoring 168/6 in 20 o0vers.

Gavaskar said that some of the Indian players might soon announce retirement from this format of the game after the latest hammering in the World Cup.

“Some retirements might also be coming after this loss,” he said.

Alex Hales and Jos Buttler were the team’s heroes as they slammed the Indian bowlers to all parts of the ground. Hales was named the Man of the Match for his unbeaten 86 off 47 balls, with the help of 7 sixes and 4 fours.
