India will play against Pakistan in the campaign opener of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 on October 23 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

Former Indian cricketer Reetinder Sodhi feels the Men in Blue will beat Pakistan on Sunday.

The 41-year-old said that Team India has more experience than Pakistan and more match-winners in the side.

Pakistan’s overdependence on captain Babar Azam could cost them on September 4 at the Dubai International Stadium.

“India have more experience and more match-winners. Pakistan are dependent on Babar Azam, and you saw what happened when Babar was dismissed in the last game,” he said.

“Virat Kohli’s return to form is good for the batting line-up. Hardik’s form with bat and ball has increased the team’s firepower. Pakistan have a big task ahead of them,” he added.
