Sanjay Manjrekar feels India lost the third Test against Australia due to the hangover from their dominance in the first two matches.
The India national cricket team won the first two Test in Nagpur and Delhi in the four-match series. They were bowled out for 109 in their first innings in Indore and eventually lost the contest by 9 wickets.
“India were under the hangover of their dominance in the series. Rohit won the toss and batted for the first time.”
Manjrekar said India were too hasty while going for aggressive cricket.
“They tried to attack the rivals without spending time on the pitch. They had no idea how the track would behave but still played shots, and that’s why that faltered,” he said.
Rohit Sharma and Shubman Giull added 26 runs in the first 5 overs. However, the captain’s dismissal started the flurry of wickets.
