In his interview with NDTV, former India cricketer Maninder Singh spoke about Virat Kohli, who is in the spotlight over his poor form across formats.
Fans are questioning his place in the team, but Maninder still believes that Kohli will soon score runs.
“I am sure there must have been a communication between the selectors and Virat Kohli. He is big player, who has done wonders for the team in international cricket,” he said.
“As far as mental strength is concerned, there is no doubt that Virat is mentally strong and physically very fit. It is a matter of one innings. If he has communicated to the selectors that he needs more breaks, then we should respect that,” he added.
Kohli missed the West Indies series and is not a part of the Zimbabwe tour but has been selected for the Asia Cup 2022.
