Suryakumar Yadav produced a stunning performance in the third and final T20I against Sri Lanka, scoring 112 not out off 51 balls.
SKY brought up his third T20I hundred, one more than KL Rahul. He is only behind Rohit Sharma, who has 4 hundreds in the shortest format.
The 32-year-old smashed 9 sixes and 7 fours as the Men in Blue won the game by 91 runs, clinching the series 2-1. Former Pakistan captain Butt said Suryakumar Yadav is lucky that he is representing India.
“He was 30-year-old when he played the first game for India. If he was a Pakistan player, he wouldn’t have played for the country. The players who are 30 or above are not allowed to play for the Pakistan national cricket team,” said Butt.
“Those who are in the team, they can play but those who are not in the team, they have no chance. Suryakumar Yadav was 30 when he played for the team. He is different,” he added.
“It seems Suryakumar can anticipate the bowlers length early. He is super fit and and already knows what bowlers are going to bowl.”
