Ramiz Raja, who heads the PCB, has given an ultimatum to the BCCI on the issue of the Asia Cup. He has stated that if India doesn’t come to Pakistan for the Continental Cup, Men Green will not play in India’s 2023 ODI World Cup.
Earlier, Jay Shah, the secretary of the BCCI, had refused to travel to Pakistan for the Asia Cup. He is the head of the Asian Cricket Council and revealed that the tournament will be played outside Pakistan as India can’t play in the neighboring country.
Speaking to Urdu News, Ramiz threatened the Indian Cricket Board. “If Pakistan doesn’t travel to India for the 2023 World Cup, who will watch the tournament? We will adopt aggressive approach. If India comes to our country, we are going for the ICC tournament and if they don’t, we are not interested in the World Cup. Our team is performing well and this will improve the economy of our cricket. We defeated them in the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 and Asia Cup 2022,” he said.
