Mohammed Siraj and Kane Williamson
Mohammed Siraj dethroned as No.1 ODI bowler

The ICC updated their weekly rankings on Wednesday, March 22. In the latest release, Australia’s Josh Hazlewood has dethroned Mohammed Siraj as the No.1 ODI bowler.

Siraj, who became the No. 1 ranked ODI bowler on January 25, is not having the best time in the ongoing series against Australia. The 29-year-old took a three-wicket haul in the first game but went for 37 runs in three overs in the 2nd match when India suffered a humiliating 10-wicket defeat.

Owing to Siraj’s poor economy rate, the RCB star dropped two spots to now rank 3rd on the list. Meanwhile, Josh Hazlewood, who is not a part of the current India series due to injury, is ranked first with 713 rating points. Trent Boult is 2nd with 708 points.

On the other hand, Kane Williamson, who starred for the Kiwis in both Tests against Sri Lanka, climbed four spots to rank 2nd with 883 rating points. Notably, Kane scored a century in the first Test and a double hundred in the following game.

The former New Zealand skipper is now eyeing Marnus Labuschagne’s rank to become the top-ranked Test batter. Marnus is No.1 with 915 rating points.
