The 21-year-old Riyan Parag has hogged headlines after his sublime form in the recently concluded Vijaya Hazare season. The RR star amassed 552 runs, including three hundred and helped Assam reach the semi-finals.
Parag made his IPL debut in 2019 with Rajasthan Royals and has cemented his place in the side. Although, the youngster has received flak for his over-the-top celebrations and a few loose comments in the past.
Reacting to all the news he had headlined in the past, Parag said he has shut out the outside noise, and his only focus is to play for India in the coming years.
“I have always prioritised myself. I have learnt my lessons. I can surely play for India in the coming years. I will work just towards this goal.”
Talking about his celebration that has triggered fans in the past, Parag said that people have turned a fun game into a serious sport, but he will continue to do what he loves.
“I am going to play my style of cricket. I will continue the way I celebrate. People have taken the fun out of this game.”
