Indian fast bowler Harshal Patel opened up on the death of his sister Archita Patel during last season’s IPL, and it impacted him.
Harshal, who was sold to Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) for INR 10.75 crore in the IPL2022 auction, had to leave the bio-bubble to be with his family after the shocking death of his sister.
He missed the game against Chennai Super Kings to attend his sister’s funeral. RCB pacer was blessed with a son just a week after her demise.
“When my sister passed away, I went numb for 10 days. I was in quarantine, talking to my niece, nephew, and others back home. I can’t go and be with them,” he said.
“Seven days later, my son was born. I was numb as I didn’t know what I felt, whether I should be happy or sad. There were times when I cried three-four times.”
