BCCI Ranji Trophy
Both teams will be playing a four-match series, and not seeing Sarfaraz was a shock for the entire cricket fraternity.

Sarfaraz Khan is heart-broken after he was not selected for the first two Test matches against Australia.

Khan has scored runs at an average of 80 in his first-class career and is only behind Don Bradman.

Three years of hard work was not rewarded when his Mumbai teammate Suryakumar Yadav was given a preference over him.

“Everyone says I will play for India. I am back to normal after talking to my father. I will never give up on practice. I am not depressed,” he told the Indian Express.

Since 2019, Sarfaraz has scored 2,289 runs in 22 innings at an average of 134.64 with nine hundreds, two double hundreds, triple ton and five fifties.

“I was not able to sleep the whole night. I kept asking why am I not there? However, I will not give up,” he added.

He always visualises his name in the Indian squad, but the other day when he saw his name missing from the squad on BCCI’s Twitter handle, he was shattered.
