Former Pakistan speedster has called himself the scariest fast bowler. When comparing Brett Lee and himself, the veteran said that Lee was a better and fitter pacer than him.
“I was the scariest fast bowler; Brett Lee wasn’t as fearsome as I was. Lee was the better fast bowler; he was fitter and took more wickets too. My action was not that easy to pick; Lee’s action was rather simple,” he said.
For the record, Akhtar took 444 wickets in 224 international games. On the other hand, the Aussie great was among the best bowlers across formats.
In 322 games, he dismissed 718 batters and won many titles with the Australian national cricket team.
