Virat Kohli is back to his best and showed his class in the Continental Cup in the UAE.

Virat Kohli is one of the legends of the game. He has worked hard over the years to become a genuine match-winner for the Indian team. The 33-year-old narrated an incident where he thought his career was over.

He was speaking about Arshdeep Singh’s mistake during the second innings between India and Pakistan Super 4 stage match at the Dubai International Stadium.

Singh couldn’t hold on to a simple catch of Asif Ali, which many thought was behind Rohit Sharma-led team’s defeat against the arch-rivals.

Defending the young lad, Virat revealed that he made a similar mistake in his first Champions Trophy in 2009.

“We were playing against Pakistan and I dropped Shahid Afridi’s catch. I thought my career was over as the management wouldn’t give me another chance. I couldn’t sleep till five in the morning at kept looking at the roof,” said Virat.

Coming back to the latest match, Virat amassed 60 off 44 balls and took the Men in Blue to 181/7 in 20 overs. But Pakistan chased down the score with 5 wickets in hand.

Mohammad Rizwan and Mohammad Nawaz were Pakistan’s heroes, and their partnership made a difference in the end. Nawaz was named the Man of the Match for his brilliant all-round performance in Dubai.
