Shreyas Iyer is ready to bat at any spot in one-day internationals. The middle-order batter slammed a hundred in the second game against Australia and was named the Player of the Match as India won the game by 99 runs.
Speaking about his batting position, Iyer said he can’t steal Virat Kohli’s batting slot. “I can’t steal Virat Kohli’s batting slot. He is one of the greats and has sealed his batting position. I am ready to bat anywhere for the sake of my team. I have to be flexible,” he said.
He spoke about his hard work during his injury days. “It was frustrating but I worked hard to get fit and contribute. I watched the games on a depressing day,” he added.
