Rohit Sharma's absence
Rohit Sharma has hardly played international cricket since becoming India's permanent skipper across formats.

Rohit Sharma was seen in tears in the dugout after Team India’s 10-wicket defeat against England in the second semi-final of the ICC T20 World Cup on November 10.

He couldn’t control his emotions in the dressing and was seen crying uncontrollably.

According to the Indian Express, some of the players had to pacify him. Rohit and Rahul Dravid addressed the team.

The Men in Blue played good cricket in the tournament and everyone was proud of the performance, Dravid is believed to have said. Rohit was at a loss for words but regained his composure and thanked everyone for their contributions.

Some teammates said that they have never seen Rohit so down even after losing many matches.

In a late night meeting, the management thanked everyone including reserve bowlers Mohammed Siraj and Shardul Thakur for helping the batters in their preparations. Everyone gave each other a hug.

The players were shattered after failing to cross the knockout stage once again despite having all the resources. India won the last ICC trophy in 2013 when the MS Dhoni-led team defeated England in the finale of the Champions Trophy.

This could be Rohit Sharma’s last T20 World Cup. He played an important role in India’s title win in 2007 and was hoping that he would again lift the trophy. But his hopes were dashed by England.
