England’s star batter Harry Brook won the ICC Men’s Player of the Month Award for the second time. He was declared the winner for his sensational performance in the two-match Test series in New Zealand.
The right-handed batter pipped Ravindra Jadeja, who was in contention for the first time in his career.
Brook won the award for the first time in December 2022. Speaking about the honour, Harry thanked his teammates for allowing him to play his game in red-ball cricket.
“To win this award twice is a matter of pride. I want to thank the management and my teammates for allowing me to play my natural game,” he said.
“It has been a good start to the year, and I hope to keep churning out the performances for my national team. The Ashes is coming up, and then we have the 2023 ODI World Cup in India. It is going to be a challenging year.”
Brook was nominated for the honour along with India’s Jadeja and West Indies’s Gudakesh Moite.
