Harmanpreet Kaur ban
Harmanpreet Kaur's behaviour in Bangladesh could have serious consequences for India.

Pakistan defeated India in the women’s Asia Cup 2022 match by 13 runs. The Women in Green successfully defended 137 runs, and it was Pakistan’s 3rd T20I win over India in 13 meetings and their first since March 2016.

Pakistan recovered from a shocking defeat to Thailand. Nida Dar was the star for Pakistan as she hit 56 not out in 37 balls and took 2 wickets. Notably, Dar’s 56 is the highest T20I score by a Pakistan cricketer against India, surpassing captain Bismah Maroof’s 53 in 2018.

India were marred by bizarre decisions as captain Harmanpreet Kaur came into bat at No.7. She managed just 12 runs as the Women in Bue failed to get going after the failure of the top order.

Harman admitted that the decision to bat at No.7 cost them the important game but maintained that India didn’t take the rivals lightly.

“Give a chance to other batters backfired. It was a chaseable target,” Hamrnpreet said.

“We don’t take any team lightly. Yesterday Thailand played well, and today Pakistan were impressive against us,” she added.
