India women pulled off a stunning win against Bangladesh after the Harmanpreet Kaur-led side won the 2nd T20I by eight runs despite getting out for 95 runs.
India, batting first, tumbled for 95 runs, with Shafali Verma being the top scorer with 19 (14), which included four fours. Verma also shone with the ball as she picked up a three-wicket haul.
Despite the win, India skipper Harmanpreet Kaur hogged the internet for the wrong reasons, as she scored a golden duck. Kaur was clean bowled for no run on the first ball.
By this feat, Kaur registered an embarrassing record, as it was her 6th international duck. She surpassed Smriti Mandhana to have the most ducks by an Indian women cricketer.
Overall, Harmanpreet has the 2nd most ducks by an Indian cricketer behind Rohit Sharma, who has 10 to his name. This has come after Kaur won the Player of the Match award for her 54(35) in the first game.
Her fifty in the first game helped her achieve the 10th spot in the ICC T20I rankings.
