He achieved a landmark which Rohit Sharma and MS Dhoni, the two most successful captains in the tournament couldn’t.
MS Dhoni-led team scored 178/7 with Ruturaj Gaikwad making a fine 92 off 50 balls.
The chase was never a daunting task for the defending champions as they cruise to the target in 19.2 overs. A half-century by Shubman Gill and useful contributions from other batters added two points to GT’s column.
Hardik has registered 12 wins after 16 IPL games, the second most. He is tied with George Bailey, who led Punjab Kings. Shane Warne with 13 victories leads the list.
