Hardik Pandya captaincy vs NZ
Kaneria opined that the Indian captain didn't rotate the bowlers properly.

Former Pakistan spinner Danish Kaneria said India captain Hardik Pandya failed in the first T20I against New Zealand on Friday, January 27.

Kaneria opined that the Indian captain didn’t rotate the bowlers properly. He was surprised that pacer Shivam Mavi was brought late into the attack.

He added that Pandya should have given an extra over to Deepak Hooda, considering the nature of the track.

“His captaincy was directionless, and he had no plans for the Kiwis. Hardik didn’t rotate the bowlers properly, as Shivam Mavi bowled late in the innings. He could have given another over to Deepak Hooda, as the pitch was helping the spinners. Hardik erred tactically,” he said on his YouTube Channel.

Kaneria was also critical of Hardik Pandya’s bowling in the contest.

“He didn’t bowl in the right areas and gave away a lot of runs. Devon Conway and Finn Allen batted aggressively and attacked the Indian bowlers from the start.”

Pandya conceded 33 runs from three overs and went wicketless.
