Former India player Harbhajan Singh picked his India Playing XI for the first Test against Australia in Nagpur. The veteran kept Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill as openers while giving the third and fourth spots to Cheteshwar Pujara and Virat Kohli.

R Ashwin and Axar Patel are the other two spinners, while Mohammed Shami and Mohammed Siraj will share the fast-bowling responsibilities.
