Gautam Gambhir has a habit of targeting Virat every now and then. Be it regarding his batting or on-field behaviour, Virat has received a lot of flak from the legendary player.
In the game against Bangladesh, Virat was bowled a bouncer by one of the Bangladesh pacers, and the batter looked at the umpire, telling him to call it a no-ball.
It was eventually called a no-ball, but Bangladesh skipper Shakib Al Hasan was unhappy with Virat for trying to influence the umpire.
Shakib even conveyed to the batter that he was wrong on his part and the right lies with the umpire and not the player. Virat was seen convincing him that he didn’t signal it with any bad intention, and they both let it go.
Meanwhile, Gautam Gambhir was furious with the former skipper and said – “A batsman shouldn’t give an umpire’s call for a no-ball. He should focus on just playing with the bat.”
Kohli scored 64 not out and took the Men in Blue to 184/6 in 20 overs.
