Ben Stokes has become a hero after his fifty led England to the ICC T20 World Cup title in Australia.

Ben Stokes finally buried the ghost of the 2016 ICC T20 World Cup final after playing a match-winning knock six years later in another final of the global tournament in Australia.

England became the second team after the West Indies to lift the trophy twice.

Carlos Braithwaite had hit Stokes four consecutive sixes to spoil England’s party leaving the player in tears at Eden Gardens.

Meanwhile, the left-handed batter was unbeaten on 52 off 49 balls, leading the team to win by 5 wickets against Pakistan.

His father passed away in 2020, leaving the cricketer in a tough phase. Stokes took a long break from cricket for his mental well-being and didn’t make a great comeback. But he showed his real character in the T20 World Cup Down Under.

Earlier, bowling first, England restricted Pakistan to 137, with Sam Curran taking three wickets at the Melbourne Cricket.

He was named the Man of the Match for his splendid bowling display. Adil Rashid and Chris Jordan added two wickets each as well.
