Suryakumar Yadav vs NZ T20I series
In the second T20I against the Kane Williamson-led side, he scored 111 runs off 51 balls with the help of 11 fours and seven sixes.

India outdid Australia in the 3rd and final T20I to win the series 2-1. Suryakumar Yadav was the player of the match for his 69 runs innings.

The 32-year-old came out to bat when India were 30 for 2. He and Virat Kohli stitched a 104-run stand, which put India in the driver’s seat.

SKY’s knock included five fours and as many sixes. He was lauded by fans and experts from all over the globe.

However, the congratulatory tweet from former South African all-rounder Vernon Philander did not go well with the fans.

The 37-year-old Protean tweeted, “This kid can play. Wow, exciting to watch. @surya_14kumar.”

The tweet was not received well by the Indian fans, and they brutally trolled Philander for calling SKY a kid.

Fans reminded the Protean that Surya has been doing this for a long time and ranks 3rd on the ICC list of best T20I batters.

Here are the reactions to Philander’s tweet.

A fan pointed out all the valuable knocks Surya has played since 2021.

A fan mocked Philander and wrote that the ‘kid’ is just five years younger than him.

India will next host South Africa for a multi-format tour, which starts on 28th September.
