Bangladesh were brilliant with the ball and restricted India to 186 in the first ODI. However, their batters faltered against the quality bowling of the Men in Blue, and Bangladesh were almost on the cusp of defeat.
The script didn’t go as per plan for the Indian team as the last pair of Mehidy Hasan Miraz (36) and Mustafizur Rahman (10) added 50 runs to take their team to a win by one wicket.
Rohit Sharma lost the plot in the last few overs of the game. Former India player Aakash Chopra highlighted Rohit’s biggest mistake in the game. Washington Sundar, who bowled brilliantly, was not given his full quota of overs.
“5 overs 17 runs 2 wickets. Perhaps, Sundar could’ve bowled a couple more?” he wrote.
India are 0-1 down with two matches to go in the series.
