India haven’t been successful in the last few months. The Men in Blue lost the Asia Cup, ICC T20 World Cup 2022, and ODI series in Bangladesh and are leveled in a three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka.
Hardik Pandya is the new captain in the shortest format of the game. He has his own style of leading the team, which was questioned by many after the hosts’ defeat in the second T20I against Sri Lanka. However, India won the third T20I to clinch the series 2-1.
Under Rohit Sharma’s captaincy, India aggressively followed a new template of batting but never tasted success. Former India player Ajay Jadeja questioned the approach of Virat Kohli, Rohit, and Hardik as captains.
“I agree that every captyain has its own style of leading the players and none of the system is 100 percent perfect. You need to work out and find a way to get success,” he said.
“But the problem is that every captain, at least the last three, wanted to change how the Indian team plays. Virat, Rohit, and Hardik have talked about changing the way. Why is everyone wants to change the old system? What is the system problem there?
