Irfan Pathan was one of the best all-rounders, but his career was cut short due to injuries and preference for other players by team management headed by MS Dhoni.
He regularly interacts with fans on social media and came across a tweet by an Indian team follower.
In his tweet, the supporter pointed out that Irfan played his last game for the country before turning 30.
“Every time I see Irfan Pathan in these leagues, I curse MS & his management even more…I can’t believe he played the last white ball game at the age of just 29…Perfect no. 7, any team would die for. But India played Jaddu, even Binny #LegendsLeagueCricket,” the fan said in his tweet.
Irfan replied and wrote – “Don’t blame anyone. Thank you for your love.”
The star player featured in 29 Test and 120 One Day Internationals and was a part of the 2007 T20 World Cup winning team.
He played 103 matches in the Indian Premier League and accumulated 1,139 runs, and bagged 80 wickets. He was a part of Delhi Capitals, Chennai Super Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Punjab Kings and Gujarat Lions.
