Sarfaraz Khan has said he learned a lot from Virat Kohli during his time with Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the Indian Premier League.

He played 25 games for the Bangalore-based team between 2015 and 2018. Although he scored 228 runs at an average of 20.72, he had an excellent strike rate of 159.44 and came up with match-winning cameos.

On the Aakashvani show on JioCinema, Sarfaraz Khan opened up on his time with the former RCB skipper.

“Virat bhaiya’s commitment is of the next level. He watches a lot of matches. Even during team parties, he watched match videos. He makes sure that he knows everything about a bowler. I learned a lot from him,” he said.

Sarfaraz was further asked whether Kohli used to watch his own matches.

“He used to watch whichever match was going on and what the bowlers were doing. His attention was there even if there was a lot of talks around; his eyes were focused on the game.”

Virat has been associated with RCB since 2008, and his best IPL season came in 2016. He scored 973 runs at an average of 81.08 and a strike rate of 152.03 in 2016.
