Former Pakistan captain Mohammad Hafeez hogged headlines after he made controversial remarks against BCCI and the Indian cricket team.

Hafeez appeared on a live TV show and said that since BCCI is the world’s richest cricket body, they receive favourable treatment from ICC and other members.

He said, “India earns the most among other boards, so they receive kisses from everyone. They are the laadla (favourite) of ICC.”

Hafeez shared the same on Twitter, captioning the post as ‘Laadla’.

As expected, his remarks didn’t go well with the Indian fans, and they trolled him mercilessly. Some even accused him of stating such comments for two-minute fame.

Here are some of the best reactions from the fans.

A user pointed out Hafeez’s nickname, ‘the professor,’ and said that a Rickshawala would talk more sense than him.

One of the users accused him of wanting attention since he’s out of the limelight post-T20 World Cup 2021.

Notably, Hafeez got asked whether the world loves India because of their cricket or money, and the 41-year-old chose the latter.

A fan criticised him for the same by sharing an old video of Hafeez praising India and its cricket.

Earlier this week, Hafeez had criticised Rohit Sharma’s body language and said he wouldn’t be a captain for long.
