Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers are good friends since their playing days for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League.
With Kohli going through an extended lean patch, ABD has backed the player to come good in the upcoming matches.
The former South Africa captain also wished him ahead of his 100th T20I. Virat will become the first Indian player to complete 100 games across formats.
“Congratulations to Virat Kohli as he is going to become the first Indian cricketer to complete 100 matches in all formats – I will be watching you, my good friend,” he said.
However, AB’s wish didn’t go down well with the Indian fans, who slammed him.
Virat Kohli will be a part of the Playing XI against Pakistan on August 28.
