India have improved in T20Is under Rohit Sharma and Rahul Dravid. One of the reasons has been the form of Hardik Pandya, who has contributed to the batting and bowling departments.
Hardik’s return as a bowler has given more breathing space to the team, who was looking for an all-rounder who can bowl wicket-taking overs and score runs down the batting order.
The all-round star took three wickets in a game against arch-rivals Pakistan. Iftikhar Ahmed, Khushdil Shah and Mohammad Rizwan were his scalps.
Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis lauded him for what he brings to the table. “He is India’s most important player in T20Is as he can win matches with the bat and ball,” said Wasim Akram.
“His presence is very necessary for the team, especially when he bowls. Hardik adds another dimension to the national side,” said Waqar Younis.
