KL Rahul has firmly stated that he won’t be obliging any requests for match tickets, even if they come from his own family and friends. His sole focus is on cricket.
India leads the three-match series against Australia with a 1-0 victory in Mohali. Their sights are now set on securing the series by emerging victorious in the second encounter in Indore this Sunday.
Before the second ODI, Rahul humorously stated that he would not be responding to ticket requests.
“If anyone messages me for match tickets, I won’t reply,” he said on JioCinema.
“I’m not trying to be impolite or rude. I just want to keep away from that and concentrate on the game. Please don’t message me for tickets, I’m sending this message to all of my family and friends,” he added.
However, beneath the humor, Rahul recognized the significance of facing Australia. He viewed it as the ultimate test in preparation for the World Cup.
“I believe they are one of the favourites heading into the World Cup. They have some fantastic players, some of whom we play IPL with, and we can observe the impact they have. They frequently visit India and are familiar with our playing conditions. The focus of this entire series will be on how each squad showcases its strengths. This is the perfect way to test ourselves before the World Cup. I’m pretty enthusiastic about the series,” he concluded.
India and Australia are scheduled to meet in their inaugural World Cup clash in Chennai on October 8.
