R Ashwin and Axar Patel were not among the wickets against Pakistan in India’s ICC T20 World Cup campaign opener.

The Men in Blue will face the Netherlands in the second match on October 27, and former captain Anil Kumble said that dropping the spin duo would be unfair.

Speaking to ESPNcricinfo, he said: “I don’t see any changes taking place in the second game. It would be unfair on Ashwin or Axar. If you are looking for a change, it could be Chahal for one of them. But I don’t see that happening against the Netherlands. Unless there is an injury,” he said.

India defeated Pakistan by 4 wickets while chasing 160. Virat Kohli scored an unbeaten knock of 82 runs off 53 balls.

He slammed six fours and four sixes and shared a crucial 113-run partnership with Hardik Pandya, who amassed 40 off 37 balls.

Kumble also predicted Arshdeep would bowl at least two overs from the last four for India against the Netherlands.
