MS Dhoni recreates the iconic six from the 2011 World Cup Final
On April 2, 2011, Team India lifted the ICC ODI World Cup trophy for the second time in 28 years.

Former Indian cricketer Joginder Sharma is famous for bowling the last over in the 2007 T20 World Cup finale against Pakistan.

In a conversation with Star Sports, he revealed his chat with Dhoni before the last over.

“When Mahbi raised his hands towards me, I was excited to bowl the final over. He told me to stop thinking about the win or defeat because if we lose the final against Pakistan, he will take all the blame. I told him that we would win the game. They need 13 runs with one wicket left, and I will get you that wicket,” he said.

“We planned to bowl outside the off-stump as it was swinging. I was surprised to see the swing on offer in the 20th over,” he added. Gautam Gambhir top-scored for India with 75 runs as the Men in Blue accumulated 157/5 in 20 overs. In reply, Pakistan were bowled out for 152.

Irfan Pathan and RP Singh took three wickets each in the 2007 T20 World Cup final.

Meanwhile, Misbah-ul-Haq was Pakistan’s last hope, and Joginder bowled a slower ball which took a thick edge and was caught by Sreesanth.
