Deepak Hooda has been a revelation in the T20I series against Ireland. He scored a sensational hundred in the second T20I, becoming the first Indian player to hit a men’s international ton in Ireland.

Deepak surpassed great Sachin Tendulkar, who had scored 99 against South Africa in Ireland. He achieved the feat in 2007.

The 27-year-old hit 104 off 57 balls, laced with 9 fours and 6 sixes. He shared a 176-run partnership with Sanju Samson. The 25-year-old amassed 77 off 42 balls, with the help of 9 fours and 4 sixes.

The visitors reached 225/7 in the allotted 20 overs. Earlier, Hooda also played a match-winning knock in the opening game. He smashed an unbeaten 47 off 29 balls, which included 6 fours and 2 sixes. India won the game by 7 wickets.

Deepak was in magnificent form for Lucknow Super Giants in the Indian Premier League 2022.
