The 37-year-old took 125 balls and hit 14 fours and a six to give his fans a moment to cheer about

David Warner is tired and exhausted ahead of the four-match Test series against India. The left-handed batter said it would have been better had the players given a night off from the Cricket Australia awards.

Warner played the white-ball matches against Zimbabwe, England and New Zealand, followed by all five Tests in the summer. David was also a part of the Sydney Thunder for six games.

He told the reporters that the schedule hasn’t worked in their favour and is trying his best to stay fresh.

“It has been a challenging time as I am tired. Few guys are playing in the UAE league, so they won’t participate in the Cricket Australia awards. It would have been nice to have another night at home,” he said.

“But it is not in our hands. So I will try to stay fit and fresh ahead of the series in India.”

Warner averages only 24 with the bat in India. However, in the last Test series, he scored a double-hundred against South Africa at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).
