Chris Gayle said CSK would not love to face MI in the finals

IPL 16 will get its second finalist on May 26 as Gujarat Titans will lock horns with Mumbai Indians at the Narendra Modi Stadium for qualifier 2. The winner will face Chennai Super Kings for the mega-final on May 28.

If Mumbai Indians beat GT, then the fans will witness another ‘El Classico’. The two most successful franchises in the history of IPL have locked horns four times in IPL finals, where Mumbai have emerged victorious three times (2013, 15, and 19).

Speaking on the possibility of another CSK-MI final, RCB Hall of fame Chris Gayle, who is a part of IPL’s broadcast panel, remarked that Chennai would not like to see Mumbai in the finals, and the Rohit Sharma-led side would be the ones with the momentum.

“The plus for Gujarat is that Mumbai is coming to their hometown. However, the momentum is with Mumbai, and if they do get to the finals, CSK would not want to see a time like MI.”

Recently, CSK bowling coach Dwayne Bravo, after the game against Gujarat, jokingly remarked that he is scared of MI and would not want to face them in the finals.
