Gujarat Titans is a franchise cricket team based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India and plays in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Gujarat Titans were one of two new teams introduced ahead of the 2022 season. CVC Capital Partners own the franchise.
Gujarat Titans played their first Indian Premier League in 2022. Under the leadership of captain Hardik Pandya and coach Ashish Nehra, Gujrat Titans won the IPL title in their debut season. They finished the 2022 season at the top of the points table, winning 10 out of 14 group-stage matches.
Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi stadium is the home ground for the Gujrat Titans. It is the largest stadium in the world, with a seating capacity of 132,000 spectators. The Gujarat Cricket Association owns it. Earlier named Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Stadium, it was demolished in 2015, and the reconstruction was completed in 2020.
IPL 2023 divides teams into 2 groups (A and B). Each team will play 7 home and 7 away games.
In the group stage, each team will face the other four teams in their group 2 times each (one home and one away game) and four teams in the other group once and the remaining team two times.
