The do-or-die game between Punjab Kings and Rajasthan Royals is midway through at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamshala. The hosts, batting first, put 187/5 on the board courtesy of 73 runs stand between Sam Curran and Shahrukh Khan.
The Kings got off to a bad start as they lost Prabhsimran Singh early. Till the 18th over, Rajasthan Royals dominated the game as they took wickets in regular intervals, and also kept Punjab’s scoring rate in check.
Notably, till the end of the 18th over, Punjab were just 141/5, but Curran and Khan collected 46 runs off the final two overs, which became the talk of the town. Yuzvendra Chahal, who came to bowl the penultimate over of the first innings, conceded 28 runs in the over, which is the most any batter has scored against Chahal in an over.
In the last over, Boult conceded 18 runs which helped PBKS put 187 on the board. Curran amassed an unbeaten 49(31), while Shahrukh scored 41(23).
