The forthcoming edition of the IPL is less than two weeks away, and ahead of the much-awaited season, Royal Challengers Bangalore has planned a special event where the club will honor former legendary players and reveal their jersey for the upcoming season.
On March 26, the RCB management will retire jersey numbers 17 and 333, worn by AB de Villiers and Chris Gayle, as a tribute and will also induct them into the Hall of Fame.
The franchise took to Twitter to announce the big news.
Several RCB dignitaries will attend the event, and former India skipper Virat Kohli will also grace the show. The fans cannot keep calm to see the reunion of the trio of Gayle, Kohli and De Villiers
Talking about the upcoming unbox event, former RCB skipper Virat Kohli spoke to the press and said he cannot wait to meet his old friends and admitted that it would be a special occasion for his fans.
“I cannot wait for the Unbox event. It will be a nostalgic event for all the fans to see the trio of me, Gayle, and De Villiers back.”
Besides the hall of the ceremony, the fans will also witness RCB’s jersey reveal and Jason Derulo’s performance.
