Harmanpreet Kaur-led Team India defeated Sri Lanka in the finale of the Women’s Asia Cup 2022. Indian fast bowler Renuka Singh took three wickets as the Lankans scored 65/9 at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium in Bangladesh.
She dismissed Harshitha Samarawickrama, Hasini Perera and Kavisha Dilhari and was lauded by cricket experts and fans.
“Can we have Renuka Singh as replacement of Jasprit Bumrah in the ICC T20 World Cup?” one of the fans wrote.

Apart from her, Rajeshwari Gayakwad and Sneh Rana shared four wickets as the Island country failed to get going from the start. Chasing 69 to win the seventh Asia Cup title, Indian opener Smriti Mandhana smashed an unbeaten 51 off 25 balls to help Women in the Blue secure win.

Pacer Renuka was named the Player of the Match, while Deepti Sharma, who took the most wickets (13) in the Asia Cup, was named the Player of the Tournament.
Jemimah Rodrigues, who accumulated 215 runs in 7 games, was the highest run-getter in the event.
