Glenn McGrath believes the biggest challenge for the Australian team is to beat India in India in a Test series. The Aussies are set to tour India for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy next year.
McGrath was one of the members of the Australian team that won the series 2-1 in India.
Under captain Pat Cummins, Australia have won the Test series 1-0 in Pakistan and also managed to draw 1-1 with Sri Lanka.
“The biggest challenge for Australia is to beat India in India. We were lucky enough to do well in 2004. The batters will have to adapt to turning pitches and the bowlers have to learn to bowl in those conditions.”
McGrath also shed light on how playing in the Indian Premier League has given the Aussie players experience of the conditions in the sub-continent country.
“With IPL, the Aussie players have gained the experience of playing in India. They can handle the conditions well,” he added.
