Former Aussie spinner Brad Hogg has spoken in favour of Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who is struggling to bowl well in the death overs.
Hogg said that Bhuvneshwar is missing Jasprit Bumrah, who hasn’t played due to his back injury.
He has conceded a lot of runs in the death overs, leading to critcism from experts and fans.
In the first T20I against Australia recently, the 32-year-old gave away 16 runs as Matthew Wade went after him.
“Indian fans are worried about Bhuvneshwar Kumar. However, they shouldn’t worry as Bhuvneshwar hasn’t had Bumrah at the other end to apply that pressure. In the ICC T20 World Cup in Australia, he will have Bumrah’s company. The batters will attack him and that’s where his wicket taking ability comes in,” he said.
He also said that Bhuvi has bowled more at the death than anyone else and has got a lot of experience. Brad feels Kumar will get the job done on the bigger grounds in Australia.
