Aakash Chopra said that Sarfaraz Khan would feel that the BCCI selectors cheated him by leaving him out of another Test series. He was not included in the squad for the first two Tests against Australia.

Sarfaraz was overlooked despite his magnificent performance in domestic cricket. Chopra opined that Sarfaraz might feel betrayed.

“His name is still not there. He will feel that the BCCI selectors cheated him. Jasprit Bumrah is not there, but I am more concerned about Sarfaraz Khan,” he said on his YouTube channel.

Chopra feels Sarfaraz should have been picked ahead of Suryakumar Yadav.

“A lot was vacant because you picked Suryakumar Yadav. However, Sarfaraz should have gotten that spot. His first-class average is 80. Apart from him, only Don Bradman has an average of 80 or more in the number of matches he has played,” he added.

Chopra believes the 25-year-old should have been rewarded for his consistent run.

“He has done everything but is still not in the team. I feel for him. You should have rewarded him for his magnificent batting in Ranji Trophy.”
