Former cricketers Sanjay Manjrekar and Tom Moody named Pakistan players who could play in the Indian Premier League in a perfect world. Moody said Shaheen Afridi would be a number one pick for any franchise.
The former head of Sunrisers Hyderabad also backed Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan and Shadab Khan to get lucrative contracts from teams.
“Pakistan have Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Shaheen Afridi and Shadab Khan. They are terrific players in this format of the game. Afridi would be a box office hit,” he said on ESPNcricinfo.a
Manjrekar said that IPL teams should also look for Haris Rauf and Fakhar Zaman.
“Haris Rauf for his death bowling. I would prefer their fast bowlers. However, Fakhar Zaman could be an interesting choice,” he said.
Manjrekar said that Rizwan could play the anchor’s role.
