After Pakistan lost the final to Sri Lanka, Pakistan's opening duo, Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam, were at the receiving end of criticism.

Babar Azam tweeted to support former India skipper Virat Kohli, who is going through an extended spell of poor form. The veteran has not scored a century since 2019, and now even fifties are not coming from his willow.

Pakistan captain, who is the best batter at the moment, took to social media and wrote – “This too shall pass. Stay strong.#ViratKohli.”

When Babar was asked about the reason behind backing the legendary India player, he said – “Virat Kohli is one of the best players. I just tweeted thinking that it’ll give him some support. He’s playing alot of cricket and he knows how to come out of these situations.”

Babar would lead Pakistan in a two-Test series against Sri Lanka. The home team recently defeated Australia in the second Test to level the series 1-1.

On the other hand, Virat will be playing in the third and final ODI against England on Sunday.
