Babar Azam was named the ICC Men’s ODI Player of the Year for the second year running. 

The Pakistan captain was rewarded for his consistent run in the 50-over format. He scored 679 runs from nine matches at an average of 84.87 with three centuries.

He is also the No.1 ranked batter in the ICC Ranking for Batters in one-day internationals. The 28-year-old won the award in 2021. 

Fans lauded Babar for his feat.

Babar joined MS Dhoni, AB de Villiers, and Virat Kohli to win two successive awards in this category.
