The Asia Cup 2023 is less than a week away, and the fans can’t keep their calm as Babar Azam and Virat Kohli will grace the event and go against each other on September 2 when India face Pakistan in Sri Lanka.
Ahead of the blockbuster game, Sanjay Manjrekar and Tom Moody sat down to draw comparisons between the two modern-day greats and concluded that Babar and Virat have a similar approach.

“Babar reminds me very much of Virat Kohli. The way he approaches his innings understands the game and plays authentic shots. Babar does the same as Virat has been doing for over a decade. They both will have a great pressure on them, and it will be great to see them bat,” remarked Tom Moody.
Meanwhile, Sanjay Manjrekar also agreed with Moody and spoke on the same lines. “Both are great players. This time around the format is not T20, and I expect Babar Azam to perform well.”
Notably, the Pakistani skipper had a forgettable Asia Cup last year where he scored just 68 runs in the tournament.
