Babar Azam-Virat Kohli RCB MS Dhoni-Mohammad Rizwan CSK IPL
Harbhajan Singh has reacted to a viral post on social media about Pakistani players getting a chance in the best T20 league in the world.

Virat Kohli and Babar Azam are two modern-day greats. Pakistani skipper has dominated the game in the last half a decade, while Virat re-gained his lost mojo in white-ball after the 2022 Asia Cup.

The last three years were tough for Virat Kohli, as before the continental cup, the former India skipper had gone over 1000 days without a century. During that time, Babar Azam hogged headlines when he posted a tweet extending support to Virat, who failed with the bat during the English tour, following which he decided to take a break from cricket.

On July 15, 2022, Babar tweeted, “This too shall pass. Stay strong.” His tweet went viral, and even Kohli replied, “Thank you. Keep shining and rising. Wish you all the best.”

In the latest development, speaking to ICC, Babar broke the silence over the tweet. “As a sportsperson, everyone has a bad phase, and I thought my tweet might help someone and give them confidence.”

“Being a sportsperson myself, we have to back fellow players in their difficult times. It is such times that you get to know about others, and I did that hoping something positive would come out of it.”

Notably, Virat had a brilliant return after the break as he smashed a century against Afghanistan.
