Axar Patel has been India’s top performer with the bat in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. He has played important knocks against the visiting team.

In the fourth and final Test against Australia, he slammed 79 runs off 113 balls, laced with 5 fours and 4 sixes at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahemdabad.

He went past MS Dhoni to become the second highest run-scorer while batting at no. 7 or below in BGT. The southpaw has accumulated 250 runs, 11 more than Dhoni.
