Australia Test captain Pat Cummins is backing his team to beat India in the upcoming four-match series. Cummins revealed that Australia will go with full preparations as they know what to expect in India.
Former Australia wicket-keeper Adam Gilchrist was the last Aussie captain to win a Test series in the sub-continent country in 2004-05. The series win before that came in 1969 when Bill Lawry was the skipper.
The visitors have won just 1 Test in their last four visits to India.
Australia will use their experience of playing in Pakistan and Sri Lanka when they take on the Rohit Sharma-led team.
“We have a good chance of winning the Test series. We played well in Sri Lanka and Pakistan. No one is blind. We still have some time to prepare for the upcoming important tour,” he added.
